The Candidates – Cambridge MA – 2005

Click here for the current Cambridge Candidate pages
In the Cambridge elections, you may vote for as many candidates as you please, but you must rank your choices. Give a #1 rank to your top choice, a #2 rank for your next choice, etc. Ranking additional candidates will never hurt your top choice(s). If you assign the same rank to more than one candidate, none of those candidates will receive your vote. However, beginning this year, incorrectly cast ballots will be rejected and returned to voters for correction. This way every vote will count as intended. Please read as much as you can about all of the candidates and make an informed choice.

Election Day was Tues, Nov 8, 2005.

Cambridge Election Calendar - 2005
Tues, Nov 8, 2005 Municipal Election Day. Polls open from 7am until 8pm. Preliminary results (not including auxiliary ballots) will be released that evening as soon as all 33 precincts have reported.
Wed, Nov 9, 2005 Tallying of ballots is completed, unofficial results are released. However, recent changes in federal law now mandate that up to 10 days must pass to allow for any overseas absentee ballots to arrive. At the end of 10 days (or sooner if all overseas ballots have been returned), the official election tally will take place including any additional ballots. This will take place no later than November 18. Though improbable, it is possible that these official results could differ from the unofficial results in a close election.
